Alexandra Anton-Aherne (She/her)

MSc (Psychological Science), BA Hons (Psychology with Sociology minor), Diploma (Project Management), Cert (Food Science & Technology)

Alexandra’s educational background is in psychology, however over the last number of years she has worked in the higher education setting in Ireland. Her previous roles were in the area of social care and learner support. She has experience pertaining to these areas, in particular around developing and delivering training and workshops for learners, gathering and disseminating learner feedback on programmes and representing the learner voice within academic governance processes. Alexandra has also served as a member and report writer for several independent expert panels for QQI, in which capacity she has demonstrated her ability to produce high quality reports capturing evidence-based findings and recommendations.

Alexandra takes responsibility for communications, scheduling, tracking and coordinating a number of concurrent projects for public and private sector clients. She is regularly involved in facilitating focus groups, developing survey instruments and data visualization. Alexandra also has experience in the development and management of digital platforms. She has expertise in disability support services and an interest in inclusivity and accessibility.

Alexandra holds a BA (Hons) in Psychology with Sociology minor, an MSc in Psychological Science and a number of certifications with learner focused organisations in the higher education sector such as AHEAD, NStEP and Enhancing Digital Teaching and Learning (EDTL). She also holds a Diploma in Project Management, and a Certificate in Food Science and Technology.
